  Prepared a geothermal and national gas drilling program for the U.S.

• Fort Bidwell Geothermal Project: Fort Bidwell Indian Reservation, Northern California

  Provided drilling engineering services and drill rig for the drilling of a geothermal exploration well on the Indian Reservation. Worked with the California Energy Commission and the Department of Energy on Grant awarded for the drilling of this well.

• San Andreas Fault Zone Drilling Project, (USGS/Stanford University), Parkfield, California

  • Develop drilling program for deep exploration well to penetrate San Andreas Fault
  • Develop cost estimate for San Andreas Fault drilling project
  • Prepare presentation for San Andreas Fault drilling project to National Science Foundation
  • Consult to the drilling operations, the cost control and invoice processing operations
  • Supervise the completion of the drilling and installation of monitoring tools
  • Provided drilling engineering services to general contractor, Stanford University, USGS and Duke University for the drilling of the first experimental well drill to penetrate the Andreas Fault at depth.
  • Worked as drilling engineer consultant for the drilling of the first pilot hole paralleling the fault

  • Designed and supervised Phase II of the well to penetrate the San Andreas Fault.
  • Engineer, design, contract for the drilling of a 13,000’+ well through the San Andreas Fault to study earthquakes. The well was successfully drilled and completed through the fault in August 2005. In 2007 a 3-foot core sample was taken directly thorough the San Andreas Fault, making geologic history.

  EPD contractor for their geothermal drilling project in Imperial Valley, California. Prepared drilling program and budget. Specify all equipment, materials and services for the drilling of production and injection wells. Provide drilling rig and services to complete the project. Will provide on site supervision for the drilling.

  • Reservoir assessment, well evaluation and development plan for Bottle Rock steam field
  • Negotiate purchase of Power Plant, steam field and related equipment from State of California, Department of Water Resources.
  • Prepare U.S. DOE Grant proposal for EGS (Enhanced Geothermal Systems) application
  • Develop operations plan for field start up
  • Developed a drilling program of the opening of 10 plugged geothermal wells
